Acupuncturist

Em MacPhail, R.Acu
From a young age, Em was drawn to the Health and Wellness field. However, it wasn’t until high school, when they witnessed a live demonstration of Acupuncture and Fire Cupping, that they became truly fascinated. The experience left them in awe, and they immediately knew that this was the career path they wanted to pursue.

Em’s passion for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) began in 2017 when they started their studies at the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. After graduating, they worked at several wonderful multidisciplinary Wellness clinics, offering treatments such as Laser Acupuncture, Traditional Acupuncture, Fire Cupping, Ear Seeding, and Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture.

A pivotal moment in Em’s journey came in 2019 when they had the incredible opportunity to travel to Beijing and Xiamen. Immersed in rich cultural experiences with fellow students, they observed Acupuncture and TCM being practiced in hospitals, toured herbal pharmacies, visited history museums, and, one of Em’s personal highlights, walked along the Great Wall of China. This educational adventure left a lasting impression and is something Em will always cherish.

What motivates Em daily is seeing firsthand how Acupuncture and TCM can positively transform both the mental and physical well-being of their patients. This drives Em to continue expanding their knowledge and skills, with a deep desire to help as many people as possible within their community.

Outside of work, Em enjoys hiking, camping, and exploring the breathtaking outdoor beauty of Nova Scotia.

Em looks forward to meeting you and supporting you on your healing journey.
